Simon Bartolo
MD, SiteCore UK
Simon Bartolo is the Managing Director of Sitecore UK, a world leader in providing .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software. Formally the Managing Director of Direct Developments Ltd., a leading marketing consultancy, Simon later spent almost ten years on an extended sabbatical running ‘not-for-profit’ projects around the world. Before joining Sitecore, he returned to the private sector with ICIS Plc directing their global business development strategy.
Simon believes that coming in to the IT industry as an outsider gives him a distinct advantage of seeing the benefits of content management systems from a non-technical perspective, and his address on the ‘Seven habits of highly successful Web 2.0 websites’ – based on Steven Covey’s ‘Seven habits of highly successful people’ – focuses precisely on the common sense and attitudinal changes a non-technical user of any semi-decent content management technology should adopt to harness the full potential of an organisation’s website.
